WILL LAWRENCE, PT, DPT

Will was born and raised in St. Helens, Oregon.  The youngest of four children, he grew up playing soccer and doing a lot of running with his family and friends alike.  He continued running through college, specializing in the 800 meter run in track and field.  In his running escapades, he found a desire to learn more about how people move, eventually leading him to pursue the field of physical therapy.  He attended George Fox university for both undergraduate and graduate degrees, earning a Doctor of Physical Therapy in 2019.  After finishing up his degree, he worked in Vancouver, Washington for over two years before moving back to the Willamette valley and starting at Big Sky Physical Therapy.

Will enjoys working with a variety of different patient populations, with a goal of restoring functional capabilities and getting people back to their desired activity level.  He finds particular interest in treating orthopedic conditions, however he enjoys working with people regardless of the type of condition.  In his free time, Will tends to be running, hiking, reading, and exploring new coffee shops and eateries (he is open to suggestions if you have any!).

MEGAN.jpg

MEGAN ROGERS, PT, DPT

Megan is from sunny, southern California where she enjoyed maintaining a life of movement by playing club and high school soccer, backpacking, and hiking. Nowadays, she and her husband keep themselves busy completing DIY projects around their home in Newberg, finding new places to hike with the dog, and occasionally she finds herself able to sit with a good book while snuggling with the cat.

Megan graduated from California State University, Fullerton with her Bachelors of Science in Kinesiology in 2015. Originally, her plan was to pursue nursing, but she soon became enthralled with human movement and its role in the healing process. After completing her degree, she moved to the mountains near Yosemite and explored the world of physical therapy in rural communities, cementing her decision to pursue PT as a career. George Fox University soon convinced her to move to Oregon, where she graduated with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy in 2021.

KELLI HANSEN

Clinic Manager

Kelli was born and raised in McMinnville early on, but moved to Montana with her family at the beginning of high school. She met Carl while still in college, working at a coffee shop he frequented after starting his first PT job. Kelli put her career and education on hold after having their first children, twins, who changed everything. A few years and two babies later, Kelli found herself in the Willamette Valley, ready to finish her degree in Elementary Education. Although teaching is one of her passions, she decided to come alongside Carl and focus on the management of the clinic. It has been a surprising joy to start this journey at Big Sky Physical Therapy, and Kelli can't wait to see where it takes her next.

In her free time, Kelli enjoys cheering her kids on at their sporting events, watching soccer games (Go Thorns!), working in the garden, camping, hiking, reading, and drinking good coffee.

CARL HANSEN, MPT, OSTEOPRACTOR, CERT. SFMA, CLT

Owner, Physical Therapist

Carl was born and raised in Montana, hence the name for Big Sky Physical Therapy, but now calls Oregon home as it has everything he loves.  While growing up in Montana Carl developed a love for Physical Therapy after many months of therapy following an ACL injury that occurred during wrestling season.
After graduating high school, Carl continued his wrestling career at the University of Mary in North Dakota, where he received his Masters in Physical Therapy in 2004. Carl returned to Montana to start his career as a Physical Therapist, where he met his wife.  They decided to move to Oregon to be closer to her family in McMinnville, as well as all the rivers that he could kayak/maintain the outdoor lifestyle he cherishes.  After long consideration Carl decided to open Big Sky Physical Therapy to continue with his treatment style, to become part of the community of McMinnville that his family loves, and to continue to hold to his values of community, respect, hard work, integrity and simplicity that he feels is part of the Montana lifestyle.
Carl has spent most of his career focusing on orthopedics, workers compensation, and sports medicine.   However, he maintains certification in lymphedema therapy as this is a need that is not readily available in rural areas. Although Carl enjoys seeing all types of injuries, he has developed a special interest in helping workers return to work duties through workman's comp, post surgical (total knee and hip arthroplasties, ACL Repair, rotator cuff repair, labral repair, etc.), as well taken a special interest in the spine, specifically the neck and the treatment of headaches.
Carl has, in the past, enjoyed coaching wrestling, and teaching the occasional fitness class. With four kids, his time is now spent watching them grow and helping them cultivate and chase their own passions in life.  He enjoys being outdoors, working out, whitewater kayaking, camping, hiking, hunting, and fishing.  He is currently on the board of the Oregon Kayak and Canoe Club and loves getting people out on the river.
